Rays vs. Brewers: your World Series 2026 cheat sheet
By The Trends Incoming team · Published 2026-10-20
Mark your calendar: the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in the 2026 World Series, and here's the fun part. Neither franchise has ever won it. One fan base is about to party like never before.
What it is
The best-of-seven World Series starts Friday, October 23, at 8 p.m. ET at American Family Field in Milwaukee, on FOX. The Brewers host Games 1 and 2, Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg hosts Games 3 to 5, and Milwaukee gets Games 6 and 7 if the series goes that far. MLB.com lists Drew Rasmussen for Tampa Bay against Jacob Misiorowski for Milwaukee in Game 1.
| Game 1 | Fri Oct 23, 8 p.m. ET, Milwaukee (FOX) |
|---|---|
| Game 2 | Sat Oct 24, 8 p.m. ET, Milwaukee |
| Game 3 | Mon Oct 26, 8 p.m. ET, St. Petersburg |
| Game 7 (if needed) | Sat Oct 31, 8 p.m. ET, Milwaukee |
Why it's trending
"Rays" sat near the top of X's US trends overnight after Tampa Bay beat Cleveland 7-3 in Game 6 to win the ALCS 4-2. Freddy Peralta handled the Guardians for 5 1/3 innings, Junior Caminero went deep in the seventh and Díaz crushed a 416-foot homer in the eighth. Milwaukee got here by sweeping the two-time defending champion Dodgers, so both teams arrive red-hot. Add two long title droughts (the Brewers' only trip was 1982, the Rays lost in 2008 and 2020) and you've got a story that sells itself. Our World Series 2026 guide has the full schedule and FAQ.
